Police are awaiting autopsy results and are seeking to identify a white male found dead Monday at an East Parrish Street apartment.

Statesboro Police Community Information Specialist Madison Bridges said officers and detectives are investigating the “unattended death with suspicious circumstances” after the man’s body was found at Palmetto Court Apartments in the 100 block of East Parrish Street Monday.

Bulloch County Coroner Jake Futch said the body was sent to the Georgia Bureau of Investigations crime lab in Savannah. Aside from confirming the victim is a white male, he had no additional information Tuesday morning.

Bridges said police could not release information regarding the man’s age or any further details of the death at this time, as the investigation continues.

If anyone has information about the death or can help identify the man, they are asked to contact the Statesboro Police Department at (912) 764-9911. Also, anonymous tips may be made at www.tipsoft.com or by sending the text “TIPSSPD” followed by your message to 274637 (CRIMES). All information is strictly confidential, she said.
