Candler County sheriffs deputies are seeking a man who fled after a high-speed chase through three counties. Around 6 a.m. Monday, Candler County sheriffs Deputy Rhett Kelly saw a speeding vehicle on Highway 46 and tried to conduct a traffic stop, but the driver, later identified as Steven Wayne Collins, 28, of Candler County, refused to stop, said Candler County Sheriff John Miles. Georgia State Patrol troopers joined in the subsequent chase, which reached speeds exceeding 90 mph, he said.
