Statesboro City Council will hold a meeting Tuesday, March 29 per a call to order by Mayor Joe Brannen.The council will come together in its chambers, on the second floor of city hall, for a 9 a.m. session in which members will decide on a single issue, said Brannen.Council will vote on a second reading to grant Mangiamo – located at 19 South Main Street – the ability to sell liquor. The restaurant was already licensed to sell beer and wine by the city. According to the mayor, the purpose for calling a meeting is to grant Mangiamo a license prior to April 1, when the store plans on reopening.
