Man pistol-whipped, robbed in Brooklet

A Brooklet man was pistol-whipped and robbed Friday when he met with three others on a street corner to sell them a gaming system, said Brooklet Police Chief Doug Meyer. One offender, Gary Matthews, 17, of Rushing Street in Brooklet, is behind bars on charges of armed robbery, aggravated assault and obstruction, according to jail records. Meyer said Matthews is originally from Richmond Hill.
