Man charged with child molestation
Emilio Moguel Silva

Investigators arrested a man Sunday on child molestation charges after a juvenile relative claimed he had been molesting her for years.
Family members brought the child, whose age was not immediately available Monday, to the Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office Sunday, said Sheriff Lynn Anderson.
Soon thereafter, deputies located and arrested Emilio Moguel Silva, 35, of Bird Road, charging him with two counts of child molestation and two counts of sexual battery, he said.
At the sheriff’s office, investigators interviewed the young victim, some of her friends and family members, all who said the girl shared details of the alleged abuse with them, he said.
“The incidents were determined to have occurred over an approximate four year time frame at a residence in the 100 block of Bird Road,” Anderson said.
Bird Road is located off Lanier Drive near Georgia Southern University.
After finding Silva at his home, investigators questioned him before arresting him and taking him to the Bulloch County Jail, he said.  Silva is being held without bond.
He may be of interest to Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Anderson said. The agency was contacted since “evidence suggests (Silva) is in the United States illegally.”
