Jewelry theft suspects turn themselves in
Police: 4 sets of earrings, $2,600 value, stolen from Kmart
James Robert Pullam

A man seen shoplifting thousands of dollars of jewelry from Kmart last week was arrested Tuesday, along with a woman police said was involved as well.

James Robert Pullam and Jennifer Lynn Pullam, both 26 and of Dyches Road, were each charged with felony shoplifting.

On July 25, "James Robert Pullam took four sets of earrings from the jewelry display case at Kmart and fled on foot after being approached by store employees," Statesboro Public Safety Director Wendell Turner said. "The earrings were valued at approximately $2,600."

The case was turned over to Statesboro police Detective Tommy Brown, who was able to identify Pullam through surveillance video and witness accounts, Turner said.

After further investigation, Brown secured warrants for Pullam, as well as Jennifer Lynn Pullam, who both turned themselves in Tuesday at the Statesboro Police Department, Turner said.

They were taken to the Bulloch County Jail, where they await further court action.

Anyone with information concerning this case is asked to contact Brown at (912) 764-9911.

Anonymous tips may be submitted online at or by sending a text message beginning with "TIPSSPD" to 274637 (CRIMES). All information is strictly confidential, Turner said.
