A suspect who saw a man with a “bundle of cash” at a Statesboro nightclub Friday night robbed him of the money hours later, Statesboro Public Safety Director Wendell Turner said. In a statement released Wednesday, Turner said Statesboro police officers responded around 2:50 a.m. to McDonald’s at Fair Road and Archway Drive, where a man said he was robbed at gunpoint. Police incident reports listed the amount stolen as $2,400.
