A fire in Portal early Monday destroyed a single-wide mobile home, but no one was injured. Bulloch County Fire Chief Christopher Ivey said a home owned by Frank Mosley Jr., in the Pecan Grove Mobile Home Park, was gutted when a fire started near the breaker box around 12:30 a.m. Monday. Three adults living in the uninsured mobile home escaped without harm after awakening to the smell of smoke, he said.
