Statesboro Police Arrests

Bulloch Sheriff's Arrests           

            Arrests will be published Tuesday.

                                   

Georgia State Patrol Arrests

            Shanna Singleton, 23, N. Leroy Street, Metter — DUI (refused test).

            Ramon Ortiz, 26, Rosas Lane — DUI (refused test).

            Troopers issued 24 traffic violation citations Friday and 22 citations Saturday.   

                         

Georgia Southern University Arrests

    Arrests will be published Tuesday.

                         

Statesboro Police Incidents      

            No incidents filed.

                       

Bulloch Sheriff's Incidents        

            McCALL BOULEVARD — (Statesboro) A woman said her estranged husband left threatening messages on her phone.

            AKINS POND ROAD — (Statesboro) A woman told deputies a man knocked on her door, and when she asked him what he wanted, he did not answer. She asked again, without opening the door, and he muttered "just forget about it" and slammed her screen door.

            She noticed later someone had piled empty cola cans against her vehicle and burned them, causing heavy smoke damage to her car and burns to  the driver's seat.

            INDIGO HILLS ROAD — (Pembroke) A woman told deputies someone stole 150 feet of copper wire from a construction site.

            WESTSIDE MOBILE HOME PARK — (Statesboro) A woman told deputies another female came to her home and started a fight, grabbing her by the neck causing red marks.

            BROOMSTRAW TRACE — (Ellabell) Deputies responded to a domestic dispute, and advised the female involved to seek help through Safe Haven. She and her children left to stay with relatives.

            JOSEPH'S HOME FOR BOYS — (Statesboro) A juvenile refused to obey, would not accept disciplinary measures and dropped his pants to expose his buttocks while uttering a lewd order to staff members.

            PARKVIEW APARTMENTS — (Statesboro) A woman told deputies a coin operated washing machine was damaged.

            SOUTHEAST BULLOCH MIDDLE SCHOOL — (Brooklet) An administrator called deputies when a student appeared to be intoxicated. The student smelled of alcohol and tested positive for intoxication. She admitted having taken gin from her family home.

                       

Georgia State Patrol Incidents  

            FRIDAY — Troopers issued 15 warnings and investigated two crashes with no reported injuries.

            SATURDAY — Troopers issued 16 warnings, assisted one motorist, made one emergency relay of blood or medical supplies and investigated four crashes with four reported injuries.

           

Georgia Southern University Incidents

            Incidents will be published Tuesday.

            Central 911 operators dispatched the following calls Saturday:

            Bulloch County Sheriff's Department — 23 calls.

            Statesboro Police Department — 23 calls.

            University Police Department — one call.

            Georgia State Patrol Post 45 — three calls.

            Brooklet Police — three calls.

            Portal Police — one call.

            Candler County Sheriff's Department — seven calls.

            Evans County Sheriff's Department — two calls.

           

911 Fire Department Reports

            Central 911 operators dispatched the following calls Saturday:

            Statesboro Fire Department — four calls.

            Bulloch County volunteer firefighters — two calls.

            Metter Fire Department — two calls.

                       

911 EMS Reports

            Central 911 operators dispatched the following calls Saturday:

            Bulloch County EMS — one accident call, one fire call and 13 medical calls.  

            Candler County EMS — one accident call and six medical calls. 

            Evans County EMS — one medical call.   

            Central 911 operators also routed  three calls to Tattnall County 911, a call to Emanuel County 911 and a call to the Georgia Forestry Commission.
