Don’t toss those natural-cut Christmas trees to the curb just yet. Anderson’s General Store has teamed up with Keep-Statesboro Bulloch Beautiful to host Bring One for the Chipper 2019, Jan. 5.

Trees brought to the store, at 23736 U.S. Highway 80 East, Statesboro, between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. that Saturday will be converted to mulch for gardening, landscaping and other projects in the community. Not only is the service provided free of charge, but organizers also promise free coffee and plant seeds while supplies last, and Chipper the chipmunk is slated to be there.

Again, the collection event isn’t this weekend, but Jan. 5, traditionally the 12th day of Christmas. However, no drummers drumming are scheduled. Also see the Keep Statesboro-Bulloch Beautiful page on Facebook for info on this and other KSBB activities.

KSBB is a Keep America Beautiful and Keep Georgia Beautiful Foundation affiliate sponsored by the city of Statesboro.
