Congressman John Barrow will be in Statesboro Saturday for his annual “Congress on the Corner” event.
“Congress on the Corner” is an opportunity for citizens to meet one-on-one with Congressman Barrow and to talk about what’s going on in Washington.
Along with his staff, Barrow will be available from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. in the center court area of the Statesboro Mall to help anyone with problems they may have with a government agency, such as the Social Security Administration, Medicare or the Veterans Administration.
“I hope folks will stop by,” Barrow said. “Times are tough, but there are lots of things we can do to help out.”
Barrow, a Democrat, is seeking his fifth term representing the 12th District in southeast Georgia. His district was redrawn last year following the changes in population reported by the 2010 Census.
Five Republicans have announced they will challenge Barrow for the seat.
Before stopping in Statesboro, Barrow will be at Parker’s Convenience Store on Highway 21 South in Springfield from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. and at his office in Savannah from 10 to 11 a.m.
You can contact Barrow’s office at (202) 225-2823 for more information about Saturday’s events.
