A man and woman charged after shots were fired at a condominium complex Thursday remain in jail without bond, facing multiple charges each, according to Bulloch County Jail records.
Clarence Tillman, 24, and Roya Nicole James-McLean, 21, both of Lanier Drive, were arrested Thursday after Statesboro police responded to a report of shots fired at Eagle Court Condominiums around 12:30 p.m.
As officers were dispatched to the scene, Bulloch County 911 operators alerted them by radio that a tall black man with no hair, wearing a white tank top and shorts, driving a white car, was being chased by another man in foot.
According to emergency radio reports, police detained a suspect a short time afterward. Around 4 p.m. Thursday, Statesboro police Cpl. Justin Samples said a man and a woman were in custody and being booked into the Bulloch County Jail as a result of the investigation.
Police would not say why the shots were fired. No injuries were reported.
Statesboro police charged Tillman with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, reckless conduct and giving false information. Further charges are possible as the investigation continues, Samples said.
James-McLean was arrested by the Statesboro-Bulloch Crime Suppression Team, which assisted Statesboro police patrol officers and detectives. CST officers charged her with marijuana possession, possession of hydrocodone, failure to have original container for prescription medications, possession of drug-related objects and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, according to jail records.
Both are being held without bond in the Bulloch County Jail, awaiting further court hearings, said a jail official.
