Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Wilson Jr. of Statesboro and Mr. and Mrs. Garland Nelson of Marshallville, Ga., announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Faye Wilson of Statesboro, to Stephen Plyler Bell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Erney Bell.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Doy Newton of Statesboro and Mrs. Cletus Wilson and the late Clyde Wilson Sr. of Register. She is a 1997 graduate of Peach County High School and is a 2005 graduate of Ogeechee Technical College, with a diploma in Dental Assisting. She is employed by Dr. Paul J. LaSala in Claxton, Ga.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Kitty Plyler and the late D.B. Plyler of Claxton and the late Mr. and Mrs. Winton Bell of Bellville, Ga. He is a 1995 graduate of Claxton High School and works on the family farm in Bellville, Ga.
    The couple has planned to wed on May 15, 2010, at 4 p.m. at the Bellville United Methodist Church.
