Mr. and Mrs. Mickey Starling of Brooklet, Georgia, announce the engagement of their daughter, Ginny Heather "Gin" of Statesboro, to Jeffrey Walter "Jeff" McPhail of Millen, Georgia, son of Mr. Walter McPhail and Ms. Christine McPhail of Seneca, South Carolina.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Roland and Virginia Starling and the late Virgil and Francis McElveen of Brooklet. Gin received a BBA in Marketing and an MBA from Georgia Southern University. She is an associate broker at Coldwell Banker Tanner Realty and an instructor in the College of Business Administration at Georgia Southern University.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Theodore and Josephine Gross of Sarasota, Florida, and the late W.H. and Addie McPhail of Seneca, S.C. Jeff received a BBA in Marketing from Georgia Southern University and currently works as a cotton
specialist at Staplcotn in Statesboro.
    The couple is planning to wed on May 5, 2012.
