Mr. and Mrs. Dan Scott of Joplin, Missouri, announce the engagement of their daughter, Allison Michelle of Joplin, Mo., to Stephen Smith Roach, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hal Roach Jr. of Statesboro, Ga.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Pohle of St. Louis, Mo., and Mrs. Betty Cox and the late Mr. Edward Scott of Trenton, Mo. Allie graduated from Thomas Jefferson Independent Day School in 2001. She received an A.B. in English and Studio Art from the University of Georgia in 2005, and she received a J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2008. She is an attorney at the law firm of Kilpatrick Stockton in Atlanta, Ga.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. John W. Eubanks of Thomaston, Ga., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Hal Roach Sr. of Statesboro, Ga. Stephen graduated from Statesboro High School in 2000. He received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Real Estate and Finance from the University of Georgia in 2004, and he received a J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2008. He is an attorney at the law firm of Troutman Sanders in Atlanta, Ga.
    The couple has planned to wed in July in Joplin, Mo.
