Linda Malko Garrett Collins Bailey

        Mrs. Elshu Malko of Chicago, Illinois, announces the engagement of her daughter, Linda, also of Chicago, to Garrett Collins Bailey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gayle Bailey of Statesboro.
        The bride-elect is also the daughter of the late Lajeen Malko. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Malko Adam and Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Talia, all of Iraq. Linda received an AA in Visual Design from Harper College in Palatine, Ill., and was most recently employed as an interpreter for Global Linguist Solutions, working with the U.S. Army in Iraq.
       The groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Reba Bailey of Kenton, Tenn., and the late Frank Bailey and Mr. and Mrs. R.M. Collins of Turtletown, Tenn. He is a 2001 graduate of Trinity Christian School and received a BA from Georgia Southern University in 2007. After completing a tour of duty in Iraq, he is currently serving as a first lieutenant in the U.S. Army, stationed at Ft. Benning, Ga.
        The couple is planning to wed on February 11, 2011, at 1 p.m. in Chicago, Illinois.
        All friends and relatives are invited to attend.
