Rachel Dixon Hinson Russell Arlington Youngblood

    Mr. and Mrs. David L. Hinson of Sylvania, Georgia, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Rachel Dixon Hinson, to Russell Arlington Youngblood, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Arlington Youngblood of Dublin, Georgia.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of late Mr. and Mrs. John McGhee Hinson of Sylvania and Barbara Buford Dixon and the late M.G. "Bill" Dixon of Rome, Ga. Rachel is a 2004 honor graduate of Screven County High School and attended the University of Georgia, where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. She graduated, cum laude, in 2008 from the University of Georgia, receiving a degree of Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She received a Master's degree of Physician Assistant from the Medical College of Georgia in 2010. She is currently employed with Statesboro Cardiology as a certified physician assistant.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gaston Youngblood of Orianna, Ga., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Waudell Purvis of Dublin, Ga. He is a 2004 honor graduate of Dublin High School and a 2008 graduate of the University of Georgia, where he received a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Terry College of Business in Risk Management and Insurance. He currently is affiliated with Sports Emporium in Dublin, Ga., and co-owns and operates Sports Emporium in Statesboro.
    The wedding is planned for 5:30 p.m. on May 14, 2011, at First Methodist Church in Sylvania, Ga.
