Together with their families, Lisa M. Douglas and Robert "Bobby" Turner, both of Statesboro, announce their engagement.

The bride-elect has one daughter, Kayla Susann Loy, of Statesboro. Lisa is the daughter of Betty Sue Douglas and the late Aubrey Edwin Douglas of Statesboro. She is the granddaughter of Ruby Barnes and the late George Joe Barnes of Statesboro and the late Jake and Ophelia Douglas. Lisa is currently employed with the Statesboro Herald.

The groom-elect is the son of Nancy Floyd Stafford of Baxley, Ga., and the late Henry G. Turner Jr. of Portal, Ga. He is the grandson of the late Henry G. and Seleta Lillie Mae Turner Sr. of Portal and the late Robert M. and Annette Gruber Floyd of Baxley. Bobby is retired after 29 years of service in the United States Army.

The couple is planning to wed on October 8, 2016, at 5 o'clock in the evening at The Sam Place, farm of family friends Jeff and Gina Deal, with the reception to immediately follow.
