Leslie and Elizabeth F. Anderson of Register, Ga., and Thomas and Kathi Brannen of Kathleen, Ga., are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Anna Elizabeth Brannen of Register, to Steven Jason Lewis of Swainsboro, Ga., son of Vicki and Johnny Way of Swainsboro, Ga., and Bobby and Denise Lewis of Swainsboro.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Elloway and Effielyn W. Forbes of Statesboro, Ga., and Ivy Ann Brannen of Claxton and the late James Washington Brannen Jr. Anna is a 2007 graduate of Southeast Bulloch High School and attended Ogeechee Technical College and Georgia Southern. She is now attending East Georgia College for her Bachelor's in Nursing.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of Mildred Youmans and the late Lamar S. Youmans of Swainsboro and the late Forrest and Gladys Lewis of Swainsboro. Jason is a 1999 graduate of Swainsboro High School. He has worked for the State of Georgia Department of Corrections for 61/2 years and for Statesboro Coca-Cola Bottling Company for three years.
    The couple has planned to wed on April 10, 2010, at 2 p.m. at the home of Leslie and Elizabeth Anderson in Register.
