Jeff and Pat Akins of Statesboro announce the engagement of their daughter, Katelyn Louise Akins of Statesboro, to Brandon Skyler Andrews of Warner Robins, son of Steven and Sharon Andrews.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Paul and Jo Akins and the late Bill and Lottie Ethridge. She is pursuing a mass communication degree at Georgia College and State University.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Zelpha Anderson and the late Wallace Anderson and the late Joseph and Vivian Andrews. He is currently pursuing a business degree at Middle Georgia State University.

The couple is planning to wed on January 14, 2017, at 5 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Statesboro.
