Bobby and Sheresa Steptoe of Statesboro are pleased to announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Renee Steptoe, to Josh Thompson, son of Eric and Georgette Thompson of Statesboro.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Martha DeLoach Whitfield of Statesboro and the late W.C. DeLoach and the late Clarence and Ruby C. Steptoe of Statesboro. She is the great-granddaughter of the late Janie Allen Hern of Statesboro. She is a graduate of Statesboro High School and attended Georgia Southern University. She is currently employed with Ellie in Auburn, Ala.
The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Delma and Manervia Finch and the late Steven “Rudy” and Erma “Nana” Thompson of Statesboro. He is a graduate of Statesboro High School and will graduate from Auburn University in Auburn, Ala., with a degree in Physical Education in May 2009. He will be playing with the Montreal Alouettes in the Canadian Football League in Montreal, Canada, beginning June 2009.
The wedding is planned for February 28, 2009, at six o’clock in the evening at The First United Methodist Church in Statesboro. The reception will immediately follow at the Ballroom at the Spring Hill Suites Marriott in Statesboro.
