    Paul and Vickie O’Brien of Statesboro announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of their daughter, Samantha Ruth O’Brien, to Michael Trenton Nesmith, son of Mickey and Penny Nesmith of Statesboro.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Baumann of Statesboro and Mr. and Mrs. Everett Hardick of Cheshire, Conn. Samantha is a 2002 graduate of Statesboro High School and a 2007 graduate of Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Information Systems.
    She is currently employed with University Advancement at Georgia Southern University.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Steven Thompson of Statesboro and the late Mr. Dexter Nesmith and the late Mrs. Mae Hendrix of Statesboro. Trent is a 1999 graduate of Portal High School. He is currently co-owner of American Vinyl Siding Services of Statesboro.
    Samantha and Trent will marry Saturday, May 3, 2008, at 6:30 p.m. at the home of Mickey and Penny Nesmith in Statesboro. A reception will follow.
    No local invitations will be sent. All friends and relatives are invited to attend.
