Shera Elizabeth Lightsey Michael Christopher Harper
    Nelson and Diane Lightsey of Statesboro announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Shera Elizabeth Lightsey of Statesboro, to Michael Christopher Harper of Statesboro, son of Mike Harper of Buford, Ga., and Lee Schoch of Summerville, S.C.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Dr. and Mrs. Ralph Lightsey of Statesboro and Mr. and Mrs. Gene Cowart of Pembroke.  Shera is a 1998 honor graduate of Statesboro High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in interior design from Georgia Southern University in 2002. She is currently vice president of sales and design of JTL Cabinets and More in Statesboro.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Gibbs of Oxford, Ga., and Lucie Ligon of Atlanta and the late Louis Ligon. Chris is a 1995 honor graduate of Heritage High School of Conyers, Ga. He received a bachelor of music education degree from Valdosta State University in 2001. He is pursuing a master’s in music education degree from Troy University. He is currently the director of bands at Screven County High School in Sylvania.
    Final arrangements have not been made and will be announced at a later date.
