Mr. and Mrs. William Leon Irvin of Montgomery, Ala., announce the engagement of their daughter, Nikki Kristen Irvin, to Frederick Bryan Darley III, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Bryan Darley Jr. of Statesboro.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe B. Fain and the late Mr. William Floyd Irvin of Montgomery. She is also the granddaughter of Mrs. Betsy G. Memmer of Lynn Haven, Fla., and the late Mr. Frank M. Nichols of Montgomery, Ala. Miss Irvin is a graduate of Trinity Presbyterian School in Montgomery and received her BS degree in Accounting from Auburn University in 2008, where she was a member of Phi Mu Sorority. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Accounting from the University of Alabama in Birmingham and upon graduation in May, 2009 will be employed with the public accounting firm of Sellers, Richardson, Holman and West in Birmingham, Ala.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Hilton Wood of Macon, Ga., and of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Bryan Darley Sr. of Statesboro. Mr. Darley is a graduate of Statesboro High School and received his BS degree in Agricultural Economics from Auburn University in 2007, where he was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. He is currently pursuing a JD from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University.
The couple will exchange vows at First Baptist Church in Montgomery, Ala., on May 23, 2009.
