Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Herndon of Vidalia, Ga., announce the engagement of their daughter, Erin Herndon of Vidalia, to Dr. Jarrett Walden, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Walden.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. M.W. Stafford and the late Mr. and Mrs. John Herndon. She received a BS in Kinesiology at Georgia Southern University and a Master’s in Occupational Therapy from the Medical College of Georgia. She is a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Marilyn Walden and the late Mr. Arthur Walden and Mrs. Evelyn Harrell and the late Horrace Harrell. He received a BS in Biology from Georgia Southern University and a Doctor of Dental Medicine from the Medical College of Georgia. He is a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity and is practicing dentistry at Dr. Hudson Powell and Dr. Jarrett Walden Dental Office.
    The couple has planned to wed on October 4, 2008, at 6 p.m. at the Vidalia First United Methodist Church.
