Mr. and Mrs. Don Carnley of Statesboro announce the engagement of their daughter, Robin Holley Carnley, to Jason Edmunds Norton of Statesboro, son of Jane Young of Statesboro and Bruce Norton of Moultrie.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Rosa (Sally) Holley and the late Tom Holley of Samson, Ala., and Jane Carnley and the late Alfred Carnley of Kinston, Ala. She is a 1999 graduate of Georgia Southern University, where she received a bachelor of science in chemistry. She also received a master of arts in English in 2005 from Georgia Southern University and is currently an English doctoral student at Auburn University. She will be teaching science at Portal High School in the fall.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Maudeane Clifton and the late Pete Clifton of Springfield and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ed Norton of Guyton. He is a 1998 graduate of Georgia Southern University, where he received a bachelor of business administration in marketing. He currently works with Lincare Home Respiratory of Savannah.
The couple plans to wed on Saturday, October 6, 2007, at the First Baptist Church of Statesboro.
