Mr. and Mrs. James L. Brown Jr. of Garfield announce the engagement of their daughter, Sarah Leigh Brown of Statesboro, to Brandon Allen Jones of Statesboro, son of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Allen Jones of Adrian.
    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of CM Bussell and the late Bertha J. Bussell of Garfield and Louise E. Brown and the late James L. Brown Sr. of Port Wentworth. Sarah is a 1999 graduate of Emanuel County Institute, 2001 graduate of South Georgia College and a 2003 graduate of Georgia Southern University with a degree in Early Childhood Education. She is currently employed by the Bryan County Board of Education.
    The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Dolphus H. Peebles and the late Macy J. Peebles of Kite and Laura Joyce Jones and the late Wiley Allen Jones of Adrian. Brandon is a 1998 graduate of Swainsboro High School, 2002 graduate of East Georgia College and a 2006 graduate of Georgia Southern University with a degree in Engineering Technology Education. He is currently employed by the Screven County Board of Education.
    The couple has planned to wed on June 6, 2009, at 5 p.m. at Beaver Creek Plantation.
