Students gathered Wednesday evening on Georgia Southern University's Greek Row to pray for the community and each other. Although the event took place on Greek Row, the event wasn't only for Greeks — the event drew in non-Greeks, athletes, scholars, alumni and community members as well.

A student-led event, the prayer walk includes a time of music and collective prayer, and then participants are encouraged to move at their own pace, or pray in small groups.

“Through the Georgia Southern Prayer Walk, many walls have crumbled and bridges built, not only on Greek Row, but throughout the campus of Georgia Southern University and beyond,” said Liz Corbett, Georgia Southern Alpha Delta Pi alumni and supporter of the prayer walk.

“Students are growing closer to the Lord and leading others to him by example through how they live their lives,” she said.
