State legislature honors Bulloch faculty
W Tankersley LeCain
Statesboro High School Athletic Director Ken LcCain was honored due to his being named Georgia Class-AAAA Athletic Director of the Year. LeCains career with Bulloch County Schools began in 1991. He has been involved with Blue Devil athletics for 20 years, 13 of those as AD. He manages an athletic staff of 23 coaches, more than 600 athletes and 18 different sports, many with up to five teams each. He also supervises a section of 30 faculty and nearly 300 students.

The Georgia House of Representatives read and adopted House Resolution 952, HR 953, and HR 1083 on April 12, honoring the accomplishments of three Bulloch County School’s faculty members: Dr. Ken LeCain, Ashlee Mitchell and Bobbi Lynn Moreno.  The Resolutions were initiated by Representative Jan Tankersley (R-158).
“While serving in Atlanta, I enjoyed reading the school system’s website and hearing about the good news happening within Bulloch County Schools,” said Rep. Tankersley.
Representatives Butch Parrish (R-156) and Jon Burns (R-157) supported Tankersley’s Resolutions by signing them prior to their adoption. At the May 26 Board of Education Meeting, Tankersley presented the faculty members with framed prints of the Resolutions.
