Allison Lindsey "Ally" Cheshire and Zachary William "Zach" Thor were united in marriage during a 5 p.m. ceremony held on May 12, 2018, in the sanctuary of First United Methodist Church in Statesboro. Chaplain Derek Murray (Maj-P, United States Army) officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Robert and Lee Cheshire of Statesboro and is the granddaughter of Bill and Jean Cheshire of Statesboro and the late Chris and Charlotte Timmons of Fayetteville, Georgia.
The groom is the son of Jeff and Regina Thor of Lakeland, Florida, and is the grandson of Donald and Claudette Thor of Lakeland, and Bill and Betty DuBois of New Paltz, New York.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a sleeveless, ivory lace appliqued tulle over a champagne fit and flare gown with a slight V-neck, court-length train, crystal beaded waist and a cathedral-length lace appliqued veil. Ally carried a bouquet of light blue hydrangeas, pink peonies, pale pink roses and white mini calla lilies wrapped in ivory lace ribbon.
Victoria Bennett served as maid of honor and bridesmaids were Anna Mallard, Jessica Prince, Brin Joiner and Natalie DiFrancesco. Lucy Keefer, niece of the bride, and Reilly Walton, cousin of the groom, served as flower girls.
Josh Thor, brother of the groom, served as best man and groomsmen were Drew Cheshire, brother of the bride; David Butler, Clay Young, cousin of the groom; and Ken Bothwell. Nash Cheshire, nephew of the bride, served as ring bearer. Jace Young cousin of the groom, ushered along with the groomsmen.
Following the wedding, the reception was held in the Oak Room of the Ogeechee Technical College Natural Resources Building.
The couple honeymooned in Los Cabos, Mexico.
