SAVANNAH — Statesboro High School's girls soccer team defeated Savannah Christian, 3-2, on Wednesday.
The Lady Blue Devils (1-0) were led by Tori Thompson, who scored two goals. Regan Thomas also scored a goal.
Thomas and Nzinga Johnson assisted on goals for the Lady Blue Devils. Goalkeeper Makayla Patterson made seven saves.
Savannah Christian fell to 0-1.
Statesboro's next game is at 5 p.m. Tuesday at home against Savannah Country Day.
