BAcolor WEB

Bulloch Academy was looking for their first win of the season after tying Memorial Day School in Garden City last Friday night, and they did not disappoint as they came away with a 29- 7 victory against Trinity Sharpsburg.
Trinity got a steady dose of Tyce Lovett and Jake Mock throughout the night. The Gators rushed for 128 yards on 21 carries in the first half with touchdown runs by Lovett and quarterback Don Aaron. Aaron also threw for 85 yards in the first half with the largest play being a 36 yard touchdown pass the Davis Childs.
The successful first half by the Gators was capped off by 35 yard field goal by Sean O'Sullivan as the clock expired to give the Gators a 22-0 lead.
The second half was a defensive struggle between the two teams as Jake Mock's 73 yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter was the Gators only score of the half.
The Gator defense was strong all night, as the defensive line lead by G.C. Kimbrell and Garrett Williams stuffed the run game of the Lions. Brandon Merrill forced a fumble which was recovered by Brock Sapp, and Jake Nelson and Sean O'Sullivan had key interceptions in the second half.
The Gators will be home for the first time this season next Saturday night as they play host to their first ever GHSA opponent in Our Lady of Mercy, with kickoff set for 6:00pm.
