With the postseason just around the corner, Bulloch Academy is looking to one of its biggest guns to lead the charge toward the state playoffs.
    Senior Win Lee had himself a productive few days, notching three hits, driving in two runners and collecting a win on the mound as the Gators swept a pair of crucial Region 4-AAA games from Augusta Prep Saturday and Monday.
    With the victories, Lee and company are right in the thick of the GISA state playoff picture despite this being their first year in the state’s highest classification.
    “We’re new in Triple-A,” said Lee. “But I think we’re pretty comfortable. We’ve played a lot of these teams before, so there isn’t a whole lot of stuff we haven’t seen before.”
    Lee was an integral part of last season’s BA squad which made it to the state quarterfinals and now looks to lead his team to a similar run in his senior season with the Gators.
    “We have a lot of younger guys this year,” said Lee. “Walker (Blitch) and I are some of the only older ones. We need to do a good job and step up for the team at the end of the year.”
