SEB Athletic Hall of Fame banquet tickets on sale

    Southeast Bulloch's 22nd Annual Athletic Hall of Fame Banquet will be held at the cafeteria on April 22nd at 7:00 p.m. Limited tickets will be sold for $10.00. Tickets can be purchase at either Southeast Bulloch High or Southeast Bulloch Middle school’s front offices.
    April 19th will be last day to purchase tickets for the banquet. Limited tickets will be sold at door on the day of the banquet. For further information you can contact Roger Inman at 842-8400 at Southeast Bulloch middle school or Jack Webb 842-8440 at Southeast Bulloch High School.

Statesboro basketball continues to collect accolades
    Even with the season being over, Statesboro’s basketball teams haven’t stopped gathering accolades.
    Senior Cam Harvey and freshman Lacy Robins were both named region 2-5A player of the year.
    The boys also saw Trey Burns earn a spot on the second team, while Jordan Wright and Tyler Goodman both made honorable mention. As for the girls, Kiesonna Rollins also made the first team alongside Robins — while Lacy’s older sister Amber made the second team and Da’Yonna Henry made honorable mention.

Soccer
Trinity Christian gets the best of Portal

    In a battle of local teams, Trinity Christian School swept the Portal soccer teams by scores of 3-2 on both the boys and girls sides.
    In the girls games Maggie Scharff, Emily Fowler and Lexi Anderson scored the goals for Trinity while Madison Miles and Kerry McGahee notched scores for Portal.
    In the boys game Wilson Calhoun earned a brace for Trinity while Christian Scott added a third. Carson Davis and Johnnie Sanchez both scored for Portal.
    The Portal boys (0-5-0) and girls (1-4-0) will be back in Portal Monday as the boys face Coastal Homeschool and the girls face Robert Toombs.
    As for TCS, the boys (2-1-0) and girls (2-2-0) will play Robert Toombs Saturday.

Bulloch Academy splits with John Milledge
    While the Bulloch Academy boys beat John Milledge 2-1 for their second win of the season, the girls remain winless after losing the prior game 1-0.
    Grant Williams and Sean O'Sullivan both scored for the boys, while Ava Hiller, Brianna Rushing and Brannen Howard had quality games for the girls.
    The BA boys (2-1-1) and girls (0-4-0) will host region favorite Frederica Monday starting at 4:30 p.m.

Statesboro girls fall to Aquinas
    The Statesboro ladies fell to Aquinas in a non-region affair 2-0 to drop the Blue Devils to 8-3-0 overall on the season.
    Amanda Brown, Megan Host and Ashley Williams all played quality games for Statesboro. The ladies will have to rebound quickly though as they'll suit back up tonight when they continue to compete in the Taxslayer Border Classic going into the weekend.
    Statesboro will play the loser of FPD and St. David's tonight at 8:30.

Baseball
BA falls in extras

    The Bulloch Academy baseball team succumbed to late errors as they fell to Trinity Dublin 3-2 in eight innings.
    Billy Tillman and Davis Childs notched the only two hits, with Childs scoring both runs for BA. Jad Street four and a third innings while allowing four runs, four hits and striking out four.
    BA (3-3, 0-2) will travel to Edmund Burke Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
