Local Roundup: Bad Donkey sweeps tourney; Boro men take title
Team Bad Donkey of Statesboro poses with its first-place awards trophies after the Hershey's Milk and Milkshake Hoop It Up 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament over the weekend in Jacksonville, Fla. The team, made up of Miguel Wiggins, Chad Brewton, Johnny Kallonaitis and Wes Bonner, did not lose a game on the way to the title. With the first-place finish, as well as a first-place finish earlier in the season in a tournament in Raleigh, N.C. and a second-place in Tampa, Fla., Team Bad Donkey clinched a spot in the National Championship on August 20-21, in Miami at the Calder Casino and Race Track.
