For the fourth time this season, Georgia Southern’s Sarah Purvis has been named SoCon Softball Pitcher of the Week. The senior delivered a perfect game to open the week, recording her second no-hitter in a five-day span. Purvis and the Eagles open league play on Saturday afternoon at UNCG. She joins an exclusive club of three pitchers to earn eight or more career SoCon Pitcher of the Week awards, joining Chattanooga’s Brooke Loudermilk (2007-10) and Beth Alexander (1999-02) who each received nine awards.
