Local Roundup: GSU baseball to host winter camp

    Georgia Southern is set to host a baseball preseason skills camp on Saturday, Jan. 22, at J.I. Clements Stadium.
    The camp, scheduled from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m., will be run by head GSU coach Rodney Hennon and the Eagles’ coaching staff. The session will focus on all fundamentals of the game including hitting, pitching, and fielding instruction at all positions.
    Cost of the camp is $125 for children six years of age through their senior year of high school, and there are limited spots available. Registration has already begun.

Gators stay perfect with dominant win
    The Bulloch Academy Lady Gators stayed undefeated with a 68-18 win Tuesday over Sherwood Christian Academy at the Southland Christmas Tournament.
    Anna Newton led the Gators (11-0) with 17 points, and Hailey Burton added 15.
    The Gators return to action today at 10 a.m. at the tournament against Mount de Sales.
