GSU to Pack the House in Pink

Quick Notes:
    The Georgia Southern men played one of their best games of the season on Jan. 26 against Western Carolina and won, 72-66.
    Eric Ferguson scored 23 points, coming one shy of tying his season-high scoring on Thursday night against Appalachian State in the overtime loss. C.J. Reed scored 19 against Appalachian State and is averaging 19.3 points per game over the last three contests. He needs 41 more points to reach 2,000 for his overall college career.

Pack the House in Pink

    The eighth annual Pack the House in Pink event takes place at today's Georgia Southern basketball doubleheader.
    Activities surrounding the event will focus on raising awareness and funds for the fight against breast cancer and for life-saving research. Fans are encouraged to wear pink to the games in the spirit of the event.
    The Zeta Tau Alpha sorority will sell pink T-shirts for $15 and will also hold a cupcake sale. The Phi Mu sorority will hold a $2 raffle for area gift certificates, and all funds will benefit breast cancer research.
    The University Programming Board will be sponsoring a Pack the House in Pink Tailgate from 3-5 p.m. in front of Hanner Fieldhouse with free hamburgers and hotdogs. The Susan G. Komen Foundation will be on hand distributing information about breast cancer, and Georgia Southern will honor local breast cancer survivors during halftime of both games.
