Former Georgia Southern baseball player Eric Phillips has already started his professional career but the awards for his collegiate career continue to roll in.
Phillips, a senior last season, has been selected to the American Baseball Coaches Association's (ABCA) All-Atlantic Region Second Team after hitting .391 with 24 doubles and 54 RBIs.
The four-year starter from Carrollton left his mark on the Eagles' all-time record book. He ranks first in career hits and doubles in GSU history, second in career at-bats, fifth in career games played and total bases, sixth in career runs, eighth in career stolen bases and ninth in career RBIs.
Phillips is currently playing in the Toronto Blue Jays' farm system as a member of the Vancouver Canadians, a Class A Short-Season team in the Northwest League.
