SPARTANBURG - Eric Ferguson picked up All-SoCon Third Team honors from the SoCon Sports Media Association on Tuesday afternoon. The junior scored 13.8 points per game and grabbed 6.3 rebounds per contest en route to postseason honors for the third-straight year.

An All-SoCon Preseason honoree to start the year, Ferguson has a team-high five double doubles and enters the league tournament with 1,262 career points. As a freshman, Ferguson picked up All-Freshman Team honors and added All-SoCon honors from the coaches and media last season.

The Eagles open the 2013 SoCon Tournament on Friday morning against Wofford. The ninth seeded Eagles face the eighth seeded Terriers at 11:30 a.m. inside Asheville’s U.S. Cellular Center.
