Eric Ferguson has been playing through a knee injury, but it hasn't been all bad for the Georgia Southern Eagles.
    Ferguson has played limited minutes in the past two games, allowing room for both of the team's point guards — Brian Holmes and C.J. Reed — to be in the starting lineup.
    "He's had some issues with his knee, and that's why he hasn't been starting." GSU coach Charlton Young said about Ferguson. "Holmes has really started to play well. We felt like we needed to take the load off of C.J. Reed so he could score a little more. We're trying to make sure we put the (lineup) out there that's playing the best so we have the best chance to win."
    Reed is second on the team in scoring behind Ferguson, averaging 13 points per game.
    Reed scored 16 points in Saturday's  69-60 loss at College of Charleston.
    Despite not starting against the Cougars, Ferguson scored 22 points — 17 coming in the second half.
    The Eagles (11-16, 5-9 Southern Conference) play host to Wofford (11-17, 5-10) today at 7 p.m. in Hanner Fieldhouse.
    The Terriers snapped a two-game losing streak on Saturday, beating the Chattanooga Mocs, 78-58.
    When the Eagles traveled to Spartanburg, S.C., on Jan. 12, the Terriers beat GSU, 71-53.
    Today's game will be GSU's annual "White Out."
     Fans are encouraged to dress in white shirts.
