Ben Ellgass, a senior at Statesboro High School, signed a letter of intent to play soccer at North Georgia College and State University Thursday at SHS.
Ellgass, a 6-foot, 145-pound midfielder, will play for former Blue Devil and Georgia Southern Eagle Pat Parris. Parris is in his first season with the Saints, and chose Ellgass as his first recruit.
"It's a prestigious school with great academics," said Ellgass. "To be able to play for Pat Parris is to be able to play for a great coach who will take my skills to the next level."
