Mrs. Shirley Sims, age 70, passed on Monday, November 29, 2021, at Select Specialty Hospital in Savannah, Ga.., after an extended illness.
She was a Bulloch County native and a former employee of Walmart Supercenter in Statesboro, Ga.
She is survived by her husband, John Sims of Statesboro, Ga.; children, Enrico F. Robertson (Becky Robertson) and Timothy J. Sims, both of Statesboro, Ga.; sisters, Bessie Robertson of Brooklet, Ga.; Mamie Holloway (Freddie) of Statesboro, Ga.; Wilma Skipper (Nathan) and Stephanie Lipscomb, both of Atlanta, Ga.; Lena McIntosh (George) and Mary Escorcia (Ray), both of Long Island, N.Y.; brothers, Willie Robertson (Oma) and Joseph Robertson, both of Brooklet, Ga.; Eddie Roe Robertson (Dawn) of Savannah, Ga.; grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
The graveside celebration of life service will be held Monday, December 13, 2021, at 1 p.m. at Mount Zion A.M.E. Church Cemetery, 10728 Highway 24, Statesboro, GA 30458 with the Rev. Craig R. Tremble as eulogist.
We will adhere to CDC guidelines if you plan to attend the viewing and celebration of life service.
