Mr. Clifford James, age 56, of Ellabell, Ga., passed on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Savannah, Ga.
He was a native of Freetown, Sierra Leone of West Africa. He resided in the United States for over 40 years, where he settled in Bryan County.
He was a self-employed contractor in transportation. He was a member of Compassion Christian Church of Savannah, Ga.
He graduated from Price of Wales High School of Freetown, Sierra Leone of West Africa. He received his bachelor's degree in theology from The Sure Foundation Theological Institute of Savannah, Ga., and a master's degree in biblical studies.
He is survived by his mother, Sylvia James of the United Kingdom; sisters, Nanette Nicol, Henrietta Harding and Dorothea James, all of the United Kingdom; brother, Harding James of the United Kingdom; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A walk-through viewing will take place on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. in the Pembroke Chapel.
A celebration of life service will be held on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at 10 a.m. at Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home Chapel, 66 Ledford Street, Pembroke, GA 31321, with the Rev. Elliott Sereff, care pastor of Compassion Church, as eulogist.
We will adhere to CDC guidelines if you plan to attend the viewing and celebration of life service.
