STATESBORO, Ga. -- Mrs. Dianne Hamm Griffin, 68, passed from this earth Friday, September 21, 2018.
    Dianne was a resident of Harlem, Georgia, and Statesboro, Georgia, and passed in the care of the extraordinary staff at Ogeechee Area Hospice inpatient facility.
    Dianne was born to Leonard Lamar Hamm and Sybima Floyd Hamm in Macon, Georgia, on September 11, 1950. Dianne earned a Bachelor of Science in psychology from Georgia Southern College after graduation from McEvoy High School in Macon, Georgia. She retired as an employee of the State of Georgia, where she served various roles throughout her many years of service.
    Dianne compassionately served children as an employee of Easter Seals, Department of Family and Children Services, and Vocational Rehabilitation. Her final position was with Georgia Soil and Water Conservation Commission.
    After retirement, Dianne was able to dedicate additional time to her favorite activity: traveling with her family and friends.
    Survivors include Dianne’s husband, Bill Griffin; her daughters and sons-in-law, Jamie and Chris Thompson, and their daughter, Bo Lee, of Statesboro, Georgia; and Jodie and Charley Waters, and their children, Duvon Eason, Robert Lane, Tully Elease and James Henry, all of Millen, Georgia; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Curtis and Rhonda Hamm of Macon and Jeff and Bonnie Hamm of Kenova, W.V.; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, as well as numerous friends who became Dianne’s extended family over the years.
    The family will receive visitors on Thursday, September 27, 2018, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home in Statesboro.
    The graveside funeral service and burial will be held privately on Saturday, September 29, 2018, at the family cemetery.
    Pallbearers will be Kory Tokar, Jason Mallard, Greg Bryson, Eric Deal, Sean Hall and Rahn Milligan.
    The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Ogeechee Area Hospice, P.O. Box 531, Statesboro, Georgia 30459.
