SPRINGFIELD, Ga. -- Mrs. Angelina Lucy Nakelski, age 91, died on Monday, July 30, 2018, at Effingham Hospital.
The Glen Head, N.Y., native lived from 1950 until 1967 in St. James, N.Y., before moving to Savannah, Ga. She moved to Effingham County in 2008 and was a loving mother and homemaker. She was a former member of the Our Lady of Lord’s Church in Pt. Wentworth.
Surviving are a daughter, Laura Nakelski of Grayson, Ga.; a son, John Paul Nakelski of New Lexington, Ohio; four grandsons, Theodore Burch, James Hendley, John James Nakelski and Brandon Alan Nakelski; four great-grandchildren, Abigail Burch, Addie Hendley, Anastasia Burch, Braelynn Nakelski; and one expecting, John Morgan Hendley; a sister, Anna DeLeo of Pittsburgh, Pa.
A visitation will be held on Thursday from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home.
The funeral service and burial will be held on Thursday at 11:30 a.m. at Bulloch Memorial Gardens with Father Doug Clark officiating.
Pallbearers will be John James Nakelski, James Hendley, Theodore Burch and John Paul Nakelski.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the National Scoliosis Foundation, 5 Cabot Place, Stoughton, MA 02072.
