After a lengthy investigation, Georgia State Patrol Post 45 troopers arrested a woman in connection with a fatal March, 2018, crash.

On January 4, Gincy Leigh Romano, of Highway 280 in Pembroke, was charged with 1st degree homicide by vehicle, DUI, improper turn and no working brake or signal lights, according to a Bulloch County Jail arrest report.

On March 15, 2018, Romano was traveling north on Hwy. 67 near Emit Grove Church Road when she slowed to make a turn. A man on a Yamaha motorcycle, Dylon Andrew Kelly, 21, of Ft. Stewart, tried to pass her and struck her driver’s side door as she entered the turn, according to GSP reports.
