Predictions of snow in Statesboro this weekend aren’t for billowing clouds of flakes, but most likely a few flurries mixed with cold rain, and at a time when most folks are sleeping.However, Sunday and Monday may be miserable for those who dislike cold, wet weather, said National Weather Service meteorologist Vern Beaver.The snowfall isn’t expected to show up until after midnight Sunday, early Monday morning, he said. Even then, it will likely be mixed with rain, and by 10 a.m. Monday, it will be all rain, he said.Beaver gave the prediction Friday afternoon, and said the weather system that is expected to sweep across the lower portion of the nation could shift. “The whole system is subject to change,” he said.
