A tip about a Sylvania man wanted on armed robbery charges led police to arrest him as well as six others on theft and drug charges.

Statesboro Police Det. Ben Purvis and agents from the U.S. Marshal Service served a warrant at a Lanier Drive home this week after getting a tip that Micquel Rayontae Tyree Manor, 20, was at that location, said Statesboro Police Community Information Specialist Madison Warren

Manor was wanted on armed robbery warrants stemming from an incident August 3 at a Rucker Lane apartment, she said.

When Purvis and U.S. Marshals entered the home, however, they not only found Manor, but several others, as well as evidence of drug activity and stolen property, she said.

Investigating further, Purvis arrested Manor, of 6th Avenue, Sylvania, charging him with armed robbery, felony theft by receiving stolen property and purchase, sale, manufacturing or distribution of marijuana.

Also arrested were Coolidge Maurice Carroll, 23, Chandler Road; Breanna Nicole Lanier, 22, Lanier Drive; and Antonio Markez McMillan, 23, Lanier Drive, all charged with felony theft by receiving stolen property and purchase, sale, manufacturing or distribution of marijuana.

Shawtez D’Malique Everett, 22, Hwy. 24, and Michael Gibbons, 21, Clanton Road, Augusta, were each charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon or first offender, felony theft by receiving stolen property and purchase, sale, manufacturing or distribution of marijuana.

Charveil Stephon McNeal, 20, Hendrix Bridge Road, Claxton, was charged with giving false information, felony theft by receiving stolen property and purchase, sale, manufacture or distribution of marijuana.

All seven suspects were taken to the Bulloch County Jail to await bond hearings and other court appearances, she said.
