Bulloch County resident Gerald P. Fleming, Sr., Capt. USCG (ret), said he feels his experiences with strong personal and business relationships would be an asset if he is elected to Bulloch County Commission Seat 2A. He is challenged by Curt Deal, Jimmy Hayes and Kelphie Lundy for the seat to be vacated Dec. 31 by incumbent Carolyn Etheridge, who will not seek reelection. “I enjoy many personal and professional relationships in both the public and private sectors that have been very helpful to me in achieving the many business success that I’ve experienced,” he told the Statesboro Herald. He retired in 2015 to “rejoin family in Bulloch County” after a stint since 2006 when he joined Agile Consulting Enterprises, LLC (ACEL) “a defense contracting firm located in the D.C. Metro area that specializes in executive level program management,” he said.
